{the 4th}

On the morning of the 4th Carter was actually sleeping in late, so Adrian took Alexis and just the 2 of them went to the parade. They, of course, had a great time having a little daddy/daughter time. We didn't do the big late night fireworks this year...we decided the kids just needed to go to bed instead, but later that day we did some of our fireworks with some of our neighbors. Alexis isn't a huge firework fan, because she HATES loud noises. So she sat with her hands over her ears the entire time. And since this was basically Carter's first experience with fireworks, he just thought they were cool, and of course, wanted to touch them. All in all it was a good day. We couldn't be more grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy living in America.

 Me and my beautiful little twin for the day! Alexis loves it when we wear similar things. She'd have us matching every day if she could!

 The kids had fun splashing water balloons. This was definitely one of their favorite summer time activities. They asked almost every day if they could do water balloons.

 Handsome little stud. Enough said.
